OUR MISSION

The mission of Seeds of Wisdom Christian Academy is to provide a Christ-centered and traditional education for elementary students in Rochester, Minnesota, with an emphasis on high academic standards, elevated behavior expectations, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Seeds of Wisdom is committed to working alongside parents who desire to see their children excel academically and grow spiritually. Seeds of Wisdom exists as an extension of the Christian church and faith community to promote Biblical principles, reaffirm parental values, and academic excellence.

PreKindergarten and Kindergarten Programs 

We believe that when students experience early academic success, future success and achievement will be the ultimate result.

 

Elementary 

We believe that student success will continue and expand when the learning structure that builds on a quality foundation is consistent and effective.

 

Home School Co-op (Offered MWF from 1:15 - 3:15 pm)

We believe the truths of Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go..."; and we believe godly principles valued in Christian homes should be upheld and supported in the classroom setting.


Christian Core Curriculum

We believe that a proven curriculum with a biblical basis provides students with the structure for academic achievement and spiritual development.

 

Daily Bible Instruction

We believe that the Word of God provides the essential principles by which students should govern their daily lives.

 

Phonics-based Reading Program

We believe that reading instruction which uses research-driven and time tested methods will enable our students to become readers who are also leaders.

 

Program Enrichment

We believe that students' lives and educational development are enriched when they gain exposure to the arts, languages, music, & technology as an integrated part of the learning program.

 

Licensed Teachers

We believe that teacher quality translates into the quality of instruction, learning environment, and student development.

 

Excellent Learning Environment

We believe that a nurturing, stimulating and challenging environment enables students to reach their maximum potential, academically, spiritually, and socially.

 

Uniform Requirement

 We believe that by using standards throughout our program, including student attire, we will encourage students to the pursuit of excellence in all areas of their lives.

 

 

 

OUR HISTORY

Begun in September of 2004, Seeds of Wisdom Christian Academy is an outgrowth ministry of Word of Life Church of God in Christ, Inc. and the fulfillment of the educational goals of educators Marcia Webster and Andrea Coleman who desired to establish a Christian educational institution to promote the academic and spiritual development of its students through traditional curriculum and the teaching of biblical principles in a loving and nurturing environment.

 

Currently, Seeds of Wisdom Christian Academy exists as a private elementary education program, offering prekindergarten through middle school students the opportunity to COME, LIVE, LEARN, and GROW, in a structured and stimulating environment, where students are encouraged and supported in developing academically, socially, and spiritually.

OUR FOUNDERS

Educators and sisters, Andrea Coleman and Marcia Webster, are the visionary directors behind the reality of Seeds of Wisdom Christian Academy. Both are graduates of Bethel University (St. Paul, MN) and Winona State University (Winona, MN), who through their own educational journey have come to value education and its power to change the lives of students.

 

Impressed by the power of education, the sisters have found that an even greater impact can be affected upon students, academically and spiritually when high academics are combined with instruction in biblical principles and standards. Thus, Andrea Coleman and Marcia Webster have established SWCA, an institution that is both educational and spiritual in its focus.
